Full Moon in Sagittarius (May 2026): Opportunity & Trust
Full Moon in Sagittarius
🌕 9°55’ Sagittarius
☀️ 9°55’ Gemini
May 31-June 4, 2026
🌻 The Flowering
During the full moon, the seed germinated at the Taurus New Moon now comes into full bloom.
It’s the midpoint in the cycle.
High noon - the threshold between sunrise and sunset.
A total illumination.
The seed flowers. 🌻
In the Witch’s Wheel, the full moon corresponds to Litha.
The height of summer.
If this were a burlesque show, only pasties remain.
Revealing the deeper purpose carried within the seed.
Not all of our intentions come into full bloom.
Sometimes illumination reveals weaknesses in the structure itself.
A very Tower moment.
☯️ The Dance of Moon & Sun
In moon phase work, I look to the moon for the circumstances and emotional realities that befall us.
Yet the moon reflects the light of the sun.
So I also look to the sun.
The moon reveals the conditions of fate.
The sun reveals how consciousness responds.
I view moon phases as a perpetual dance between moon and sun —
between Tuché and Daimon.
Between what happens
and how we respond to it.
Between the situations and circumstances we experience
and the awareness they awaken.
Between fate
and the consciousness it calls forth.
At the New Moon, moon and sun occupy the same degree.
Fate and consciousness speak with one voice.
By the Full Moon, they stand opposite one another.
The seed reaches full visibility.
Illumination arrives through polarity.
🏹 Tuché — Situations & Circumstances
Fate arrives through 10° Sagittarius:
Its Sabian Symbol is:
“A golden-haired goddess of opportunity.”
The keyword is reward.
The theme is looking beyond surface appearances.
Not all opportunities arrive in obvious forms.
Sometimes they appear as chance encounters.
Unexpected invitations.
A field of nettle when we were expecting basil.
This symbol speaks to the rewards available to those who remain open-minded, self-reliant, and willing to work with what life places before them.
There is an element of luck here:
being in the right place at the right time.
Recognizing the opportunity.
And being prepared to take advantage of it.
Opportunity and preparedness.
The reward does not come from opportunity alone.
It comes from our willingness to recognize it and participate in it.
The effort we put into it determines what becomes of it — the reward.
This symbol reminds us that self-knowledge is one of our greatest advantages.
The better we know ourselves,
the more readily we recognize which opportunities to pursue
and which to let pass.
Highest Expression
At its highest expression, this symbol speaks to confidence, good timing, persistence, and the willingness to continue along a path we know is right for us.
Shadow Expression
Its shadow appears as opportunism, chasing every shiny possibility, expecting others to carry us, or abandoning our course when we don’t receive recognition or reward from others.
🛩️ Daimon — Consciousness
Our response to the fate that befalls us arrives from 10 Gemini.
What’s trying to come to the surface as you navigate the situations and circumstances brought by 10 Sagittarius?
The Sabian Symbol for this degree is:
“An airplane falling.”
The keyword is crisis.
The theme is free falling.
At first, this might sound scary.
Or perhaps exciting.
It’s about confidently entering an experience.
Not because nothing can go wrong,
but because we trust our ability to respond when challenges arise.
Letting go.
Going with the flow.
Relax.
Take a risk.
Take a chance.
Have trust and faith that you’ll be able to successfully resolve any challenges.
This symbol asks us to participate fully.
Not knowing exactly how things will unfold.
Not knowing exactly where we will land.
There is no try, there is only do
as Yoda would say.
Fear and overcontrol can prevent us from recognizing or responding to opportunity when it appears.
Highest Expression
At its highest expression, this symbol speaks to a willingness to enter experience directly rather than overthinking it.
There is an element of impulsiveness here —
diving into experience and responding as it unfolds.
Keeping your head.
Concentrating on the task at hand.
Taking corrective action when necessary.
Going with the flow and staying calm.
Competence in crisis.
Shadow Expression
The shadow shows up as panic. As baling out or quitting before the situation has a chance to right itself.
🕸️ Weaving Together the Moon & Sun
An opportunity appears.
The question is whether we can recognize it,
trust ourselves enough to engage with it,
and remain present when things don’t go the way we think they should.
Taken together, the symbols are about:
Opportunity and preparedness.
Letting go of overthinking.
Risk and trust.
Confidence, timing, and persistence.
Competence in crisis.
The courage to participate,
even when the outcome remains uncertain.
🔮 Reflection & Contemplation
🌑 New Moon
Reflect back on your Taurus New Moon intention.
You may wish to revisit the questions that helped shape it:
✨ What passion are you trying to bring to life?
✨ What is trying to seduce you away from what you genuinely want?
✨ How can you work creatively with what you already have?
🌕 Full Moon - Moon
Now turn your attention to this Full Moon.
Look at your natal chart and find 10° Sagittarius.
If you’re 45 or older, also look at your second-half-of-life house arrangement.
This is the area of life where an opportunity, invitation, encounter, or circumstance may be calling for your attention.
🌕 What opportunity are you being asked to recognize?
🌕 What appears when you look beyond surface appearances?
🌕 What are you being invited to participate in?
☀️ Full Moon - Sun
Now look at 10° Gemini.
This is the area of life where consciousness is being called forward.
☀️ Where are you being asked to trust yourself?
☀️ Where might overthinking be preventing participation?
☀️ Where could uncertainty become a teacher rather than a threat?
☀️ What would competence in crisis look like here?
☀️ What would it mean to remain present when things don’t go the way you think they should?
During the Full Moon
During the full moon phase, let your life unfold.
You may want to contemplate:
✨ Where is opportunity asking for preparedness?
✨ Where is fear asking to be replaced by trust?
✨ What would wholehearted participation look like?
✨ What are you ready to stop overthinking?
✨ What wants to come into full visibility?
After the Full Moon
After the Full Moon has passed, if you feel called, here is a tiny ritual to explore what bloomed, and what fell away.
🕯️ Tiny Ritual for The Flowering
You’ll need:
a candle
your New Moon intention (if available)
your New Moon object (if available)
a journal or piece of paper
a pen
Light the candle.
Gently uncover your New Moon object from the soil or herbs.
Hold it in your hands for a moment.
Take a moment to remember the intention it represented at the beginning of the cycle.
If you wrote it down, you may want to read it out loud.
Notice what comes to mind as you look at it now.
What has changed since you first placed it there?
What has become visible?
Sit quietly for a few moments and reflect on the moon cycle that has unfolded since then.
Then ask yourself:
✨ What happened to the seed I germinated?
✨ What began to take root beneath the surface?
✨ What’s flowered?
✨ What’s fallen away?
✨ What’s come into fuller visibility?
This is your pasties-revealed moment 😉
✨ What surprised me?
✨ What did life reveal that I could not have known at the New Moon?
✨ Did the seed bloom as expected?
✨ Or did it become something else entirely?
Take a few moments to write whatever arises.
When you’re ready, thank the cycle for what it revealed.
Do whatever you’d like with your object.
Extinguish the candle.
Carry what was illuminated for you into the waning half of the lunar cycle
🧺 Carrying the Meaning Forward
The Full Moon does not simply illuminate what we intended.
It illuminates what happened when intention met circumstance.
What became visible through participation.
What life revealed through the dance of Tuché and Daimon.
As the moon begins to wane, carry forward the meaning that’s been revealed.
The cycle continues.
Until we meet again at the next new moon…
Love,
Heidi
The moon keeps moving.
